A Timely Excerpt From The Green Room--(or maybe, The More Things Change, The More...):

Excerpt from 2007:

...so last week Kiki came over and to my surprise she wore something she'd never worn before. A baseball cap. A Red Sox cap to be exact. She had just discovered baseball, and in her obsessive-compulsive manner completely threw herself into the latest playoff series between the Red Sox and the Indians. After sex we watched the game, and she explained:

"I just start to get into baseball because my client likes to teach me. Now there are many good Asian players like Chien-Mien Wang for Yankees and Dice-K for Red Sox. I betting all the playoffs and so far only lose once. Cleveland Indians. They have good team but they just start to get good. Boston won World Series in 2004, so they been good for long time. In baseball you have E.R.A., which tells you how good pitcher is. You have R.B.I., home runs, stolen bases. I learning a lot. I follow very closely, just like when I do day-trading. I look at pitcher's E.R.A. and compare to the other team. I look at batting averages--all the batting averages. For each player on a team and how they do against the different pitchers. Understand? It's a lot of work. There's all kind of how you say..statistics you can compare--just like with stocks. Who is home team? Who is lefty or righty pitcher? Who has fast runners that can run to steal a fast base. There's so many things--I have fun and I making nice money. You should learn baseball Lodo! Or do day-trade. Try something new. Maybe start your own business as investigator. If you made more money, I could send you more girls all the time. You still very young. Sometimes when you're inside me, I can feel you. You're intense. Scorpion! You have same birthday as ______ and he's so rich! That's good sign. Maybe you can start your own business and make a lot of money again; then I can send you more girls. This may be good change for you. I no try to tell you what to do. You gave me good advice once, so I try to help you too. I like you, that's all..."
